A press release issued by DIA and IBM, the Defi Protocol (DIA) has migrated its platform to IBM Cloud to take advantage of a series of strong security protocols for delivering financial data services. DIA plans to protect their backend infrastructure from external hacking and other dangerous cyber violations with this migration.
“IBM Cloud Hyper Protect Services, confidential computing capabilities and IBM LinuxONE enable us to help implement a high security standard in the oracle landscape.” (Samuel Brack Co-Founder and CTO at DIA)
As part of migration, DIA will be utilizing Keep Your Own Key (KYOK) and other secret computing protocols available in IBM Cloud Infrastructure, to offer full spectrum data protection with complete authority for project workloads. Even with migration to IBM Cloud, DIA still maintains full control over the key to the crypto.
A migration into the IBM Cloud gives DeFi Protocols the opportunity to work with clients in the regulated market space that requires secrecy and strong security measures. According to a IBM Manager, this step can accommodate significant implications not only for DIA, but also for the DeFi Ecosystem that appears mainly in the field of attracting interest in mainstream investors.
In the past, the DeFi Space has seen many violations and exploitation of opportunistic Profiting which often targets Oracles centrally as a vulnerability point. These incidents have seen calls from all DeFi space for stronger Oracle services to prevent the attack.
IBM remains the main major participant in the Blockchain scene that appears with many partnerships and collaborations. These projects are examining a variety of cases of use for novel technology including supply chain management, health services, and a variety of domesticated book companies (DLTs).
